My diary has had some very interesting entries during Corona-virus. As a sportsman, many of my entries during the suspension of sports have been sport oriented...

For example, here is my entry for April 17, 2020: “Day 37 of no sports. Watching birds fight over worms. Cardinals lead the Blue Jays 3-1.”

The master, to impress on his pupils the need of thinking before speaking, told them to count to fifty before saying anything important, and one hundred if it was very important.

Next day he was speaking, standing with his back to the fire, when he noticed several lips moving rapidly.

Suddenly the whole class shouted: "Ninety eight, ninety-nine, one hundred... Your coat's on fire, sir!"

"Why is Miss Jones wearing black?"

"She's in mourning for her husband."

"Why, she never had a husband?"

"That's why she mourns."

Ask not what staying home on the couch can do for you...

But what staying home on the couch can do for your country!
